ESSAYS
These two film studies essays both received 38 out of 40 marks. Film studies interests me a lot, and this is where my interest for film making began, looking into the impacts film has on its audience and how they're made.
These essays talk about "City of God", Guillermo del Toro's "Pan's Labyrinth", Damien Chazelle's "La La Land" and Matt Ross' "Captain Fantastic"
SCREENPLAY
For my film coursework, I had to write a screenplay and make a short film, after studying a selection of short films that inspired me.

FIRST SHORT FILM
This is the completed short film that I produced for my Film Studies college course, called Molli-fy.
It's about the pressures of college life, especially on people with anxiety or struggles such as ADHD, and the wish that we could take a break from it all.
UNI FIRST YEAR SHORT FILM
This is my first year Uni short film, which I
co-wrote and then directed with a production
team working with me.
It's the story of two evacuee girls heading out of the city during World War 2 who encounter a French woman on their train. Each handle the situation differently; the elder sister goes to find a conductor while the younger sister makes an unexpected bond with the woman and they play a game of draughts.

This is one of a number of small projects I was on during first year, some of which I am planning to add to this site soon.

My name is Jen, welcome to my portfolio. I am a uni student studying Filmmaking. I aspire to work in the film industry in the future, this is influenced by my love of film, art and the exploration of stories and culture that I'm discovering daily.
